John Reardon Tattoos

My first tattoo-
THROUGH  is the motto on my family's Scottish crest.
As a kid my grandmother used to tell us that the symbol on the crest ( a saw cutting through an Oak tree) came from when Alexander Hamilton cut down a huge Oak to stop the Brittish invasion of Scotland.
Such a cool story- up to a few years ago I still believed it
until I did some research and found out that A. Hamilton disguised himself as a wood cutter to escape the chasing English!
On my search for the information I also found an old english spelling - hence the THROU

Thanks John, love your work, have a look at more of John's work. John Reardon Tattoos
